Apple recently released the long-awaited iOS 18.1 update . We even shared a first-look video . This version, which makes iPhones even smarter with Apple Intelligence, brings not only new features but also bug fixes. iPhone 16 restarting issue fixed!
For the past few weeks, iPhone 16 series users have been reporting that their phones are restarting themselves multiple times throughout the day. Not just a few, but hundreds of people have been experiencing the same issue. Fortunately, the issue has been resolved.
Apple has not made a statement about what caused the error. Therefore, the cause of the problem is still unclear. Although the technology giant says that the problem has been fixed, sometimes it does not happen. So it can happen again. We will learn this with the feedback from users.

Telephone
- Call recordings let you record live phone calls or FaceTime audio calls. An automatic announcement is made that the call is being recorded.
Camera
- amera Control can quickly switch to the front TrueDepth camera (iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max).
- Spatial video capture, as well as spatial photo capture, is available in a new Spatial camera mode ( iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max).
AirPods
- The Hearing Test feature provides scientifically validated hearing test results in the comfort of your home (for users aged 18 and over).
- Hearing Assistance provides personalized, clinical-grade assistance that automatically applies to sounds in your environment, as well as music, videos, and calls (for users ages 18 and older with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss).
Features require AirPods Pro 2 with firmware version 7B19 or later. Not all features are available in all countries or regions.
Bug fixes and improvements:
- Control Center includes new options that allow you to add individual connection controls and reset your configuration.
- RCS Business Messaging lets you connect with businesses over RCS (operator support required).
- Fixes an issue where unplayed episodes in podcasts were marked as played.
Fixes an issue where videos recorded at 4K, 60 fps would experience stuttering when advancing video playback in Photos when the device was hot.
- Fixes an issue where digital car keys could not unlock or start the vehicle with passive entry after restoring from a backup or transferring directly from another iPhone.
- Fixes an issue that caused iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro models to restart unexpectedly.
